THE PHYSICAL, PHYSIOLOGICAL AND EMOTIONAL BASIS OF OSTEOPATHIC DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT.
We will aim to understand the body:
- as one structurally co-related structure;
- as a physiologically co-functioning unit and
- we would also consider the emotional and unique susceptibility of the patient.
First and foremost we must learn to differentiate between physical, physiological and emotional lesions.
Secondly, we must learn to use the feel of the tissue diagnostically.
Thirdly, we must learn to select the correct treatment approach taking into account the individual’s condition.
And fourthly, we must achieve a level of competence to be able to deliver effective treatment.
